Oct. 18, 2007 @ 9:10 a.m. by JoannaOK, here’s something new. I want to know what your predictions are for football this week. Here’s five games that you need go on record as to who you predict will win.
- East vs. Southeast at South (this game is tonight) — I’m picking East — even without an injured Arthur Brown — because this is definitely a desperate team that desperately needs to win to get into the playoffs.
- Heights at Junction City – I’ll take Junction City here, even though Heights is playing extremely well right now. Heights QB Chris Boyd is already second in the CL in passing (543 yards) and he’s played in just four games.
- Garden City at Goddard – Goddard, because this team is just as desperate as East, especially because the Lions didn’t make the playoffs last year.
- McPherson at Great Bend – Sorry, Pup fans, this was tough, but I’m taking Great Bend. Why? Well, Great Bend is at home.
- Wichita Collegiate at Garden Plain – Garden Plain, no question.
All right, let me see those predictions. You can agree with me or not, you can hate on the pick or not, but you must give your prediction.

Southeast 28 East 21 A Brown causes that much disruption. No A Brown, two backs go crazy.
Heights 21 Junction City 14 Junction City not prepared to play a better team.
Goddard 35 Garden City 21 Goddard gets some back.
McPherson 17 Great Bend 13 Tough to call.
Garden Plain 42 WCS 14 Collegiate doesn’t quite have it this year.

I’m predicting a 28-13 victory for southeast. The defense will stop Bryce Brown and the offense will run all over East’s defense.

East needs a QB. This is NOT class 2A where you can hand the ball to your tailback thirty times a game and expect to win. Coach, your son has an arm like a leg, find someone who can throw next year.

So I guess to get the accurate 5 A rankings I should suscribe to the Topeka Cap, or the Hutch Paper.
Mac UPSETS (I don’t think so) Great Bend…..
Oh yeah I can guarantee you still won’t move them up to # 2 overall where you have Great Bend now…you will make some excuse saying Great Bend was overrated….I doubt if you will even move us in front of Bishop Carroll….that’s ok, when we beat them you might. Thanks for the extra motivation and lack of respect keep it up, cause it is starting to be funny.
