That would allow the district format, which I think has its benifits, yet allow "at-large" winning teams to still compete in the play-offs. This coupled with requiring only "same class" games to be counted for the "winning record" and a minimum number of those.... say 7.... In 2-1A there are 4 teams in the play-offs with a 2-7 record....Congrates to those that made the system work for them... and too bad a sensable system could not be used to reward those teams who played the season in their own class and won the majority of those games. It's all about who is No. 1, and it's extremely rare in high school that when all is said and done that two of the best teams don't meet in the title game.
