Jack is completely wrong. First he refers to what happened last year even though he stated Marky didn't play last year. Second the only thing that kept him from playing time on D last year was a sore ankle. His attitude in practice is what got him playing time even though he was slowed by his ankle. His attitude was a good thing. He wants to win. Jack has no clue of what he is talking about.

Lifer, I agree with what you said about these coaches holding grudges. You are sure right about what went/is going on in Goddard with the ethridge kid. How do you go from being a 2nd team all city running back to not even touching the ball on offense. I know the Goddard coach was pretty ticked at him for transferring to NW his junior year but that is a personal issue. It should not be reflected on the field.

The Goddard offense could really use him this week against NW. He knows that team after playing with them and I'm sure he could make a difference on the offensive side of the ball just as well as the defensive side.

I think the Wichita area should have a lot more kids going D1. Like that coach said, he sent out lots of film and he knew someone would see him. How many other coaches are doing that same thing for their kids. I hear that there are some coaches that are actually holding letters of interest back from their team. (They don't want to get them distracted!)

As a senior on last years team, I can say without a doubt that Marky had poor practice habits, and that is what kept him from playing. He tried to not practice until thursday, and then coach wouldnt play him--call it belittling if you want. I call if fair. He was also indefinitely suspended because of his attitude.

He did not play his junior year--contrary to what insideinfo says.

Good luck Marky--if you make it D1 congrats. For all you others, get off of coach and move on.

Not all the South high coaches were against Marky being on O. A few expressed intrest in him as a WR last year

I don't understand these coaches that hold things against kids. Why would they not play him on Offense if it helped the team. Same thing at was going on goddard with the ethridge kid.

I wanna say he is 6'3'' 240 but thats just a ballpark and yes inside info is right. On scout O last year as a running back he could not be stopped against Souths Starting D which included Saftey TJ Shine

Makry is a great competitor. He would have dominated as either a TE/WR or DE if he wasn't going both ways. The kid never left the field and still performed well. He frequently ran down Kale Pick from the back side and was a ball hawk all year on defense. I'm not sure if he played football his freshman year, but I know he didn't even play his sophmore year. His junior year he was kept off of offense because the HC didn't believe he could do it even though he was a beast on O in practice. I can only imagine what he could be if he had played four years with good coaching.
He has a great attitude, but plays with fire. During the football game he was removed he was frequently held and hit with cheap shots that weren't called. He plays with fire and got tired of being hit in the back and after the whislte and got even more angry. That anger is something good players have! He lost it, but it had nothing to do with attitude.
In college marky will hit the weights, have good coaching and be a force in whatever position he plays.
