I’m looking for your predictions from some of these games on Tuesday night. Tell me what you think and why. By the way, for those making overall 4A predictions, remember that Topeka Hayden is in the west this year, not the east.

Conway Springs 30 Collegiate 6 - Blowout city.
Moundridge 28 Minneapolis 16 - Just has a Moundridge feel to it.

This one could be a doozie. Maybe a 28-24 thriller if the real Ros Hill makes the trip down to BIG Green. If not… 35-14 Mulvane moves on

Collegiate plays well and stays close, but Conway tires the Spartans.

Rose Hill fans need to shut up and quit being such poor sports and give Mulvane its dues. How old do the fans need to act when they provoke high school students to flip them off. High schoolers can only take so much when they have the opposing fans yelling curse words at them and telling them they suck. Also, how classy is it when our running back gets his helmet ripped off about every other play, because Rose Hill can’t stop him. Once again, give Mulvane its dues and respect, because I believe they did beat you twice this year. Has Mulvane still not played anyone yet this year? Quit whining and realize that your kids are now at home preparing for basketball season while Mulvane moves forward in state.

Some people would think these actions from a high school are unbelievable. But I know how much class Mulvane has had in the past and these things come with no shock to me.

How old are you anyways…you’re probably some old man that talks crap to high school kids himself..you’re probably that guy’s dad who flipped us off. Good luck to Mulvane. You’re not going to get by Andale. Which means you won’t win the State Championship. Which means your waisting your time with football. Rose Hill would not have gone any farther so Rose Hill will get a little more basketball practice in with the whole team.

ok first of all what do you expect out of a bunch of hyped up school kids of course if you piss us off we are gonna pull something stupid but its not like we are the only school that does it!!! I will say it right now F**K all ya we are undefeated you need to deal with it and tell us good job Rose Hill is just mad b/c we beat them for the second time and served them there 6th loss… i dated a player from the team and everytime they mentioned playing us it was all negative like breaking our QB’s knees and slamin holdins face mask in his face… we are all doing the same thing to each other and rose hill you know it so just stop!!!

Mulvane seriously thinks they can beat Andale? I thought they changed their ways from the old Mulvane and not having class. But as far as I can see nothing has changed.

Basically you’re blaming everybody else for your actions. If you had class you would let it go. Show them that it doesn’t bother you and be the better man. Not retaliate. Can’t wait to see the wildcats fall now…

I think Caleb and Catfan 1971 need to go eat some crow. WELLINGTON DEFEATED ANDOVER CENTRAL 28-14! We played well; they just didn’t play better than us… We redeemed our loss in the regular season. I had some guy telling me that we took out one of their best players in the regular season match-up against the Dukes and the Jags. Everyone’s saying that the game was an upset. Boo-hoo. Just because Jaydan Bird wasn’t playing and that Glenn didn’t play till the second half doesn’t necessarily mean that if they were Andover Central would’ve won. While I wish them the best of luck during basketball and wrestling, Wellington’s moving on.
As for the whole Mulvane-Rose Hill topic, I agree with bits and parts of both arguments. As Wildcat fan 06 stated, you honestly can’t expect us Highschool students to just take, take and take and not expect anything to do about it. ADULTS ARE SUPPOSED TO LEAD BY EXAMPLE! That’s what I’ve been taught. Students actions may have been wrong, but that doesn’t excuse the adults’ actions much either. Then again, Josh is correct. Mulvane should’ve shown that they had more class than a team that has
Mulvane may not beat Andale, but there’s a certain little thing: THEY ADVANCED AND ROSE HILL DIDN’T. Mulvane was the better team, straightforward. People have said that Mulvane lucked by, but honestly, the game proved something: Mulvane brought what they needed. And then some.
Anyways, how about Lira scoring those two TD’s for Wellington?

Mulvane Cross Country State 4A Champs ……….Mulvane Football………We will have to wait and see….. but dont count anyone out like Andover Central counted Wellington out. Anything can happen thats why we play the games. Go Wildcats and good job Wellington.

If you check my predictions, I missed one game and was really close to the exact score on Collegiate’s game. Bring some crow some steak whatever you want me to eat. So I missed my pick — Big Deal.
This was a “pickem” I didn’t say anything derogatory about the Crusaders. Win some lose some…. Good Luck to the Crusaders as they host Topeka Hayden. You have fun with that game Duke08.

If you paid any attention whatsoever to my blog you would notice that there is and 06′ in it wich probably means i graduated that year. And yes we did beat you once again proving that mulvane has a better team. Im not on that team but they represent our town. They do it well i might add. As far as the whole flipping off deal goes you act like you are a saint or something. Im so sure you have never done anything wrong in your entire life. He should have been the bigger person and walked away, but once again if it hadn’t been provoked then there wouldn’t be a need for retaliation and no one would be in this position right now.
We might beat Andale we might not, they have a good team. One thing is for sure Rose Hill wont be playing in that game cause they are already turnin in there pads for the year. -THE CLASS OF 2006!

wildcat, thank you. I wish Mulvane the best of luck against Wamego. You’ll have a fan pulling for you here in Wellington. I’ll have fun at the game on Saturday. I’m going hoarse again. Even though it hurts, going hoarse cheering is one of the best feelings in the world.
As a senior at WHS, I expect nothing less than the best from the teams we play. What’s the point of football if you don’t play against the best?
As wildcat said, don’t write anyone out. It’ll only be your downfall.

Ok. I see why alot of people are upset at Mulvane. But calling the whole town “unclassy” because of a few actions isn’t right. Many people in Mulvane were really mad about the whole flipping the crowd off thing. It was very disrespectful and it shouldn’t have happened. And for the record Rose Hill was talking just as much trash, if not more, than Mulvane was. Like what wildcat fan ‘06 said, he should have been the bigger person and walked away. But he didn’t, and now Mulvane is being called unclassy and unsportsmanlike as a whole. People should be calling HIM that, not the whole town or even the team at that.
I think that our school has undergone a lot of hard things the past year, and we deserve to be credited for the way our boys are playing this year. We didn’t just “luck out”, they played a great game and EARNED it. And we aren’t cocky either, the students are just really excited that we’re doing so well this year. Everyone around doubted our team this year, and we proved them wrong.
It really upsets me when people on here are saying how they can’t wait for us to lose and how we shouldn’t have even made it this far. We’re better than we thought we would be and we earned making it to the play-offs. Give us a break. Our entire school has come together so much after the events of the past year, and everyone feels a huge sense of school pride. We’re so proud of our boys and people downing them is extremely rude. And as to SMART @$$ saying: “You’re not going to get by Andale. Which means you won’t win the State Championship. Which means your waisting your time with football.” Nobody knows what’s going to happen ok? Don’t crush any hopes we have. Anything can happen. We are NOT wasting our time with football! We made it farther than alot of teams and I’m really proud of our boys. Oh, and by the way, learn how to spell “Wasting” : )If youre just mad that your team didn’t make it far, don’t wish us bad luck. We aren’t saying we’re going to win state..there are so many good teams we’ll have to face; but anything can happen and we’re hoping for the best.

They think that they are the best people ever, which now i see where all the kids get their character problems from… I’m not mad about my team not making it far, my team has made it farther then your team has and more often. We are still in it too. (You haven’t played us this year.) So no I’m not from Wellington. If you would like to spray paint something go to Rose Hill and paint a nice little picture or something. I’m figuring SMART @$$ is from Andale.
That’s just my choice.
I’ve talked to students and adults alike from Mulvane, and they all know that they aren’t the best. When people have zealous pride, people mistake that for thinking that they’re the best.
Politics aside, I wish all teams good luck tonight. I’m pulling for Mulvane in the game against Wamego. Those Wildcats have what it takes in my opinion. As for Andale, it’s BUHLER. Wellington beat Buhler, or as us Seniors said: we showed them who the real Crusaders are. I’m picking Andale, hands down. I haven’t seen Smoky Valley play this season; last time I saw Ulysses play was when Wellington faced them in the playoffs.
And I’m picking Wellington over Hayden, not just because it’s my home team but because I know our guys have what it takes. Lira and a few other of the Dukes have been reading these articles on VK, and they’re spurned up. They know my words are correct and they agree. If I doubted my team in the slightest bit, I’d pick Hayden. They may have the third ranked offense in the state, but stats only go so far. They’re numbers, FROM PREVIOUS GAMES. They only give PREDICTIONS for future games.

Oh well, there are only so many schools that are in the playoffs and we’ve knocked out Mulvane, Andale, Wellington and Rose Hill.

Nice win tonight for the Wildcats. Yeah i have seen some Mulvane people give credit. But for the celebrating part, if there is just one person saying that Mulvane is being too cocky then you could probably look past it but when theres more then one or if there is a discussion started on it then i would say that theres a problem. I can’t believe that your telling me to grow up when your saying that “rose hill had it coming”. Thats excatly what i mean when i say Mulvane has no class. What justifys you painting on some other schools property? I didn’t know high school rivalriys ment vandalizing others property.
