We have trouble against big teams for obvious reasons… but how can you say they are better when Collegiate should have won the game(3 missed layups in the final 2 minutes all to take the lead)

The lack of discipline goes on in the city. The NBA would have even suspended a player for one game for all the technicals nolan has received. Karma will catch up to them at some point over at South, for now they just keep losing the respect of the other schools. Its too bad because I watched the east/goddard game and the east high kids seemed like pretty good kids, and then the city goes and lets this kid play. Maybe when he finally punches an official they will make him sit out a half.

I stayed for the second game and I can tell you that Collegiate just flat out lost to a better TEAM. BP made them play more half court D than they have all year. Collegiate is a two dimensional team. If you don’t turn the ball over on their press and you keep their guards from shooting open threes and driving, they can be beaten. However, that is easier said than done. But give BP credit. They are a great team. And as far as fouls go, BP’s point guard was constantly fouled the entire second half and it was rarely called. If it had been, the foul total would have been more lopsided. BP plays a real clean game with good fundamental man D.

Ya I know, I think I said that… Its sort of ironic that a team that good lost because of a litle thing like making a layup (or 3 of them)

You know it’s a poorly officiated game when a coach says something as unoffensive as “that’s a moving screen” and gets a technical for it. The officiating was pretty poor and NW was playing like they it was street ball, but I have no doubt they will head up to Manhattan and lose their backsides.

Collegiate had 19 fouls. Belle Plaine had 10. Dragons were 23 of 27 while Collegiate was 7 of 12 at the line. Yes, it was a bit lopsided, but I’ve seen it much, much worse. Belle Plaine plays an inside game and that will generate fouls for the opponents. Can’t blame the officiating for this game Spartan fan. You lost because your team couldn’t make a layup.

I was at the South game as usual and I saw Marky playing and i was perplexed to say the least. It is an unusual ruling but I would say that since it wasnt realized that Allen should have been tossed by the refs, Faflick let it go. East-South should be classic.

Now, I’m not going to lie because we had plenty of chances to win the game, but that was probably the worst officiating I have ever seen at the BP vs WCS game. WCS couldn’t get a single call all night, while BP got everything going there way…

But besides that and the outcome it was a good game.
