I knew the Andover-East game would be a close one in our fantasy basketball tournament, but it’s pretty obvious to me where the majority of our blog readers are coming from — they’re bigger Andover fans than East fans, judging by Andover’s lead.

The Highland Park-Heights game is tight, as well.

OK, let’s make this for real. Who would win Andover vs. East? I mean, really? (Not that this matters because fact is, the only way you advance is by votes.) I say East wins this game. East has way too many weapons on offense and would outrun Andover. Highland Park-Heights? Well, I give the edge to Highland Park, although it would be one heck of a fast-paced game.

I can’t believe I’m blogging about this during the KU game. I’m only doing it to keep from getting too emotionally vested. Can you believe my 5-year-old is cheering for Memphis? He loves Derrick Rose. But my 3-year-old loves me too much to go against KU (can you believe a Missouri grad is cheering for KU? I love me some Bill Self. I don’t care what anyone says — he’s a great coach)

Anyway, how many coaches do you think are watching Memphis and paying close attention to the dribble-drive offense? SI did a story on how many high schools are using the offense — I believe Oxford was the only one using it in Kansas. Think that number will increase next year?

I feel bad for the teams that are playing tonight — the softball and baseball teams playing during the game. I e-mailed Augusta’s baseball coach today to get his team’s record and asked him how annoyed that his team was playing while KU was. He admitted that he was irked and hoped he’d be home shortly after the 8:20 start. I’m betting he wasn’t — the second game of Augusta’s doubleheader started at 6:30, and we know how baseball is. Long.
