It’s the semifinals

Well, we’ve made it to the semifinals of our online tournament between some of the best basketball teams in the state. The only way you advance is through voting, and let me tell you, Andover could win this whole thing. Those Trojans fans sure know how to get out the vote.
Right now we’ve got a matchup between Andover and Wichita Trinity, a pair of teams whose fans know how to show love for their teams. (although Andover only slipped by Wichita East) This is a tough game to pick. Trinity finished the year so strong, which is why I’m giving the edge to the Knights.
As for the other matchup — Highland Park vs. Southeast — how many of you would have paid good money to see this game? Count me in. I would have loved to have seen this matchup after the state tournaments. The 5A champ vs. the 6A champ always sounds great, but between these two teams? Oooh, that would be exciting.
They both were so loaded with athletes and would have played such an uptempo game, it could have been Memphis vs. KU, you know?
I’m picking Southeast in the game, though. I think that the Buffs had too many weapons and would have beaten Highland Park in a close one.
By the way, how funny is it that Southeast fell into the same bracket as Highland Park? When I made up the bracket, I had to do coin flips for several teams — Southeast included. So once again, Southeast has its championship game in the semifinals. Don’t hate me, Trinity and Andover fans, but I’ve already picked Southeast as the winner.
Although your votes make the ultimate decision.
