All done in Manhattan (for today, anyway)
May 23, 2008 @ 10:10 p.m. by Levi WoltersWichita Independent fans, you still have two undefeated teams. Baseball romped to a 12-2 win early this afternoon. A little tougher for the softball ladies, who beat Belle Plaine with a “walk-off” walk in the bottom of the seventh for the 3-2 win. A really great game that was. Belle Plaine, playing Independent for the fifth — FIFTH!!! — time this season was certainly upset-minded. Just too many walks.
I haven’t been the best updater today, and I apologize. I went to school for four years at K-State, and I’m pretty sure I drove more around town today — mostly between the baseball and softball fields — than I did in those four years. Good thing gas is reasonable.
I’ll be back tomorrow. Blogging baseball, and hopefully updating softball better than I did today.

Wow, what a freaky game. Tuttle and Stewart were pretty good tonight in the circle, but Independent did not hit well tonight. These two teams should not have had to play at state.
