Class 6A Football
June 3, 2008 @ 11:06 a.m. by jlongSo since I’m still new to this territory, I’m starting to do my football research now so I can better serve you guys come football season. And if possible I’d like to get a little help. Working with players who are strictly in Class 6A who are some of the better players I should start to get to know.
I already know about Bryce at East. That shows just how big he is. I’ve been here a little over a month and I think I’ve only heard one person mention his first and last name.
But who besides him should I know about?
Who is getting some pretty high praise from college recruiters? Who isn’t, but should be?
Remember this is strictly for 6A we will do 5A and so on later in the summer.

There are also two excellent junior running backs in the City this year as well; Demarcus Robinson of Northwest and Joseph Randle of Southeast.

Evan Engwall at Derby is ranked top 10 in his class at kicker (not a glamour spot, but will be playing at the D1 level guaranteed). He has been ranked as the top kicker in the nation by some lists.

Tony,
How come on all the lists I look at Evan Engwall is from Mesa, AZ? And where are these lists that you’ve been looking at?

Engwall from Derby kicker, moved away now back. Derby field goal records will be threatend. Dont plan on returning any kickoffs, wont happen! And YES he was ranked number one in country for graduating class of 09 as a kicker at one time. Marcus Woodside Heit Defensive End. will be a playmaker this year. Has the size and speed. 6′3 230 and can easily put on another 20 lbs. Both KU and Kstate and other schools have him on their radar. Both are excellent students. Jake Snodgrass Q.B Dual threat will make plays and win games for the panthers, greatest assets are his Teaming skills

Engwall is back. Derby field goal records are in Jeopardy. He will win games for the panthers. YES, he was ranked number one in the country for class of 09 at one time. Jake Snodgrass Q.B. returning starting Q. B. was the Big Greens second leading rusher last season. Definitely a Dual Threat. Passed over 1500 yards last season. Marcus Woodside Heit Defensive End. 6′3 230 and can easily put on another 20. Getting looks from KU KS and other schools. His speed might be his best strength. Derby will be a team to watch for this season.

The best place to look for kickers is on Chris Sailor’s website. He develops the top 12 for just kickers and punters. He is still listed as from Mesa as he has not enrolled at Derby yet. He moved back last weekend. (He’s my brother)
