Always good to read about baseball and its players, I've played since a kid..

Can I ask though - how did you get this picked up and into google news?

Very impressive, is it something that is just up to Google or you actively created?

Obviously this is a popular blog with great data so well done on your seo success..

Cody Knuth deserves this honor for class 4A. He's an elite catcher who does it all for the Rockets. He even stole 15+ bases this season!

Knuth needs some props from the Eagle as an All-Metro next season! So heads up!

Hopefully the kid can catch the eye of a college program, he can halp in many ways.

I don't quite understand all the NW players being named either. 8 NW players recieved 1st or 2nd team honors?

That was a little outrageous.

My understanding is that much of the selection is based upon the coach pushing for their players. I know of at least one coach that didn't go to the meeting and few of his players were selected even when they had better stats than players that were selected.

Not sure about the lower classes, but 5-6A fairly well got it right. As for coach being a member of the association. What's wrong with that? Show me a coach who doesn't want to be professional about his sport and work for his team and I'll show you one poor coach. There are many benefits to being a member of your professions professional organization. Most coaches who won't belong to the association also won't bother to nominate any of their players for post season honors, you should know that. :) However, in 6A at least, I am fairly sure you don't have to be a member because I know several of those coaches who are and they are fairly good about seeing the top kids get where they belong. I guess we'll see if anyone got slighted starting at 1 p.m. today with the MLB draft. I am curious however about so many NW athletes being named second team?
