Its amazing this guy and his cronies must watch the blogs 24/7. What JOHN said was true. These two orgnizations wouldnt exist without all the hardwork of the coaches that came before and coached these girls to the level that was good enough to lose them to them. You shouldnt be arrogant about it but thankful. Sorry to say your not the end all be all of softball in this area and your still relatively new compared to some coaches out there. If I had 45 mil I would start my own teams and do it for the kids. I sure wouldnt charge them a couple grand to play and I wouldnt keep their hopes up through years and slam the door in their face when they hit the 18u division because you bring in 3/4 of your team with girls who already have scholarships at the colleges they play for, which by the way defeats your claim that you do all of this for the girls and to obtain scholarships for them, what a bunch of bull. Thanks for popping your head in hear it was nice to hear from you!

Mark, Thanks for posting, but please understand that I wasn't trying to stir the pot by mentioning your name. I was being sarcastic about the only time softball fans comment on the blog -- and it's actually true.
I've talked about softball plenty of times without mentioning your name, and actually, didn't mention your name in the posts where the commenters went crazy. If anyone remembers, the post that started all the softball craziness was my oh-so-innocent post on the dominance of Independent softball.
Ah, the internet. Such fun.

If it wasn't for teams like this their would be no 'stangs' or 'gades'.

Coaches of these teams in her article work hard for their girls and when the girls catch the softball bug and the parents are ready to make the finacial commitment it is nice to see we have the 'stangs' and 'gades' in our area to help the girls get to the next level.

OppK, I'm trying not to judge every team based on that exact question. Certainly I could sit here and only write about those two teams, but then there's a whole set of readers I might be missing out on. And I know the softball readers are out there -- I just need to mention Independent or Mark Griggs to get them to comment.
