I don't know exactly how this team is picked. I don't know how many area 6A coaches are even in the association -- but I know that's definitely an issue. Your coach isn't a part of the association, your kids aren't all-state. Can you imagine if we did that with subscriptions? No subscription? No all-metro/all-state. Crazy, huh? I don’t know exactly how this team is picked. I don’t know how many area 6A coaches are even in the association — but I know that’s definitely an issue. Kansas. Wow. It appears ALL the 6-A talent resides up there. I would disagree. Additionally, five of the 18 are from Washburn Rural. I saw all three games they played at state. Their pitcher is deserving of all-state. She is the real thing. I saw nothing overly special from the other four. Their catcher was not even a starter on the team last year. Must be benefiting from the teams success 2008? Had Goddard not knocked off Olather East I doubt Washburn Rural would have been able to do so. I'm sure Kristen Rock (the K.U. signee) from Olathe East does not find sharing the honor very amusing.
