There’s a lot of games going on this weekend, already a lot of games were played yesterday.

So did you see any games yesterday? Which teams stuck out to you? Will you go out today? Which game do you want to see? And if you didn’t go out yesterday or today, are you going to make sure that you’ll be there for the championships on Sunday at Koch Arena?

The Wichita T-Wolves are looking really strong. They have a tough Minnesota team at 4:45 today at Andover Central.

There was some great ball, some rough ball, & some ugly ball. Sadly, I saw on more than one occasion, with more than one team, ref’s lose impartiality. Reffing is a hard job, I get that, but come on gentlemen, don’t get sucked down to the level of the kids or the parents. The best message sent to kids is consistency without partiality. I thank you for your work.

I used to be pro MAYB and almost always stuck up for it but I can admit when I was wrong AND I have switched to the other point of view! That it is a miserable product. I cannot say it about every single one, because I did not see every game. But I saw 25 or 30 at all different age groups and DID NOT see one game that was officiated even decent. And in a scientific poll 25 out of 25 would be enough to call the race! And other that a couple teams (and you guys with the good teams, not talking bout your teams WE KNOW YOUR GOOD) the majority of the teams I saw play were not even decent teams, with most being horrible even. Just thought I’d let you guys that kept telling me the MAYB was not a good product and I kept telling you it was, that I am big enought to admit you were all right and I was wrong.

Speaking of bad officials, the crew from San Antonio, Tx that ran the Andover Central courts were decent. However the young lady they had on the crew made a horrible call against the Wichita T-Wolves with no time on the clock. The gym as a whole, including other teams, spectators, and coaches were in amazement of an official calling a foul in a tied up ball game on a shot that was lightly contested. There was no contact, and the official came in from the opposite baseline with a LATE whistle to make the call. The clock /horn sounded before the ball was released from his hand. What was sad was that this was a very good competitive game that should have been decided in overtime. The MInnesota players and coaches were good sportsman but they were handed a win. I know officials are told to have each others back but wrong is wrong, and a bad call is a bad call. That crew should have huddled and said no way are we going to decide this game, put 2 minutes on the clock and lets go to overtime. Don’t apologize to coaches and parents after the game, correct the call during the game when it counts. That’s the difference between playing for 5th place instead of 1st place. This isn’t crying over spilled milk, but rather facts.

I didn’t see 25 games like bbfan but i did see a grave unjustice done to the Wichita T-Wolves in a very good, competitive ball game saturday afternoon. With no time left on the clock in a tie ball game a young, female official came from the opposite baseline with a late whistle to call a foul on a lightly contested shot with no contact made by the defender. I’ve never seen so many spectators, parents, and coaches from other teams who have no ties to the T-Wolves or the Minnesota team upset. That official clearly decided the outcome of the game by allowing the 2 foul shots. Her partner should have huddled with her and said, lets not decide this game, it wasn’t a clear foul, lets go to overtime. Instead the guy apoligizes over and over to the coaches and parents. After that game, all of a sudden they go to a 3 man crew and she doesn’t officiate the rest of the day.

The Wichita T-Wolves vs the Ks Players was a highly anticipated match-up. It was a good game for about 22 minutes. After that the T-Wolves went on a run that the players could not respond to and won by about 17-18 pts. No question who’s the best team in the area.

I agree 90 grad, don’t think there is any question on who the best team in the area is. And before point out before one of the starstruck people say it………. they already beat the Players (Speice Mo-Kan or whatever they are called) with “Triple Double” playing earlier this year.
