MAYB finals

I’m heading to see one of the finals today for a story. Anyone heading out to the games? Did I hear that a Wichita team made it to the final four? I believe it was the Kansas Eagles. (I can’t get the comment out of spam and I don’t know why.)

Who’s on the Kansas Eagles? What other teams did well out there?

What athletes did you see?

Girls’ MAYB Nationals were held in Oklahoma City. The 9/10 grade Wichita Tigers made it to the finals but lost to the Arkansas Fusion. The Tigers are a school team from Bishop Carroll.

THE KANSAS EAGLES CONSIST OF A VARIETY OF BOYS IN THE WICHITA AREA…. THE GUARD #11 IS D’AVONTE GARLAND WHO I BELIEVE IS HEADING TO COACH TAYLOR AT SOUTHEAST. #13 IS DAVID SWANK SON WHO IS MOST LIKELY HEADING TO TRINITY AS A KNIGHT. THE 7TH GRADERS ZACH , JAKE, AND TAF’ON ARE GOING BACK TO ANDOVER CENTRAL. AS #30 MATT IS GOING TO ANDOVER CENTRAL HIGH AS A FRESHMAN. PATRICK PARKER IS HEADING MOST LIKEY TO SOUTHEAST WITH MR.GARLAND OR EAST WITH #3 DARIO DUQUE. I HEAR RUMORS ABOUT THESE KIDS BUT I BELEIVE IM RIGHT ABOUT THE SCHOOLS AND THE NAMES I GOT FROM THE MAYB NATIONALS BOOK.

First and foremost congrats to the OKlahoma El Reno team that won the 9th-10th grade division. Not to take anything from them but the Wichita T-Wolves beat them convincingly in the summer kick-off by over 20 points. It’s a shame they had to settle for a 5th place finish due to a very BAD call at the end of their quarterfinal game against the Minnesota team.

The Kansas Hoyas were not in the tournament but one of the boys played up with the T-Wolves and one with the Kansas Eagles.
