Early Saturday morning recap … and love for KSN
Sept. 6, 2008 @ 6:42 a.m. by Joannaby joanna
I would have done this last night, but I was making the trek back home from KC. Ugh. I ate way too many pieces of gum and Hershey’s kisses trying to stay awake.
How about the video from last night’s games from KSN? Isn’t that beautiful? That’s what this site was lacking, and now, thanks to this partnership we have it. I’m already loving this new partnership, and it’s just a few days old!
But I just glanced through the paper before I start doing rankings, and I see that I stink at predictions.
McPherson smacked Goddard. How about Nick Garcia?
Andale barely beat Clearwater. I knew this game would be tight, but 6-0? Ooof.
Buhler edged Andover. I didn’t call that one, dang it. Man, I hate being wrong.
Bluestem loses. Hooray for Trinity, but Bluestem has to be feeling bad. This was a good opportunity for them to end the streak.
Derby crushed Campus and did it with Wilson’s 221 rushing yards. No surprise there. Snodgrass still had 136 passing.
Northwest uses a passing attack to win. Unbelievable. Can’t say that has happened much for coach Weston Schartz. Demarcus Robinson still goes for 150, though.
Hutchinson played extremely well. I see there’s someone from Missouri talking smack. Uh, dude, that game was tight. No one should be talking any smack about a game like that. It was just a good game between two outstanding teams.
Andover Central traveled and beat 6A BV Northwest. Impressive win.
Cheney, a 4A team, gets an upset over Conway Springs, a favorite to win 3A.
Maybe El Dorado really is going to have a strong season. The Wildcats open with a win on the road over Clay Center.
And how about Mulvane playing tight with Great Bend, only losing by three.
I’ll try to update more later, now it’s time to track down scores. If you have a score out there that we didn’t have in the paper today, please send it my way.

Mulvane was down 31-7 at half time and completely shut down Great Bend in the second half. They missed about 3 red zone opportunities and just ran out of time in the end.

Does the partnership include canning the chat board or are we supposed to submit videos to communicate our opinions?
Is the DISCUSSION link hiding somewhere?

Hey LaneTech81, calm down man. I’m sure people can go a couple days without your unbelievabely insightful posts.

I’m not against posting videos - I just need to know what the rules are - like what background music gets the most hits, can YouTube be used, etc.

don’t like the new format at all with the videos instead of the discussions. I watched the highlights once last night, don’t need to see them again. Was wanting to find out what TFL thought about the game last night but I guess I will have to do without.

I like being able to SEE what happens instead of reading what some poster thinks about it. Draw your own conclusions.

OK, I think there’s a mistake somewhere in our system. I e-mailed our online guru and I expect it will be taken care of soon. Although, if you guys start posting your stuff on video, it would be interesting. Scary, but interesting.

I was at the Mulvane Great Bend game. It was a heck of a game.
I was wondering the same thing did GB pull their starters at the half?
I think if Mulvane would have had another possesion they might have taken the game.

andover central looked good in there win over blue valley northwest, a 6A school.alot of people thought they would lose that game.the best part about the win is that many of the a.c. players looked good, not just a few as was the case too often last season.keep up the teamwork!!!!!

I don’t think GB pulled their starters but their QB did get hurt late in the game.

Deveon, why the hate, better watch what you say, it’s always a good thing to have GOD on your side? lol
For Hutch this year it’s not going to be a cake walk 5A is as tuff if not tougher than 6A. Good luck though.

Crack, are you serious?
Hutch is going to ROMP through 5A. It’s tougher than 6A? Nope. Your facts are clearly skewed. Hutch almost beat the top team in Missouri, they have a clear path to the league/district title, and the playoffs shouldn’t be a problem.

I’m pretty sure now GB did’nt pull their starters. After reading the GB Tribune. I think they felt at one point they were actually going to loose.
I came to Mulvane 3 years ago and had never seen them play until last year, and ever since, well the name Obssesed speaks for its self.
