when derby went down to tulsa for the football camp

they beat nationally ranked tulsa union and enid,Ok in several scrimmages

they’re deffinetly a team to look out for this yr

Sometimes a QB is only as good as his receivers, maybe he threw OK, but the passes were dropped. Don’t be too quick to judge any one athlete. There are 11 on the field at any one time.

i think derby’s gonna be a pretty tough team this yr.
Goddard will have a hand full next friday at Derby
1. Cause derby’s 2-0 for the first time since Young was there
and
2. The home crowd..there was well over 2,300 people there against campus…i expect a full capacity crowd…which is like 2,600 i think.

Joanna I agree that it is sad that the wichita kids dont get better, and that the naysayers come out in force when it comes to athletics. I think that it is important to note that less than 1/3 of the bond is for athletics, about 140 million of the bond is given back to us through taxes we already paid and in federal money (25% buttons) and that it is the right thing to do.

Please get out and vote for our kids and the future of the city.

Jerry, from what I know, each of the sites has a different agreement with the host school.
bbfan, It’s not a misprint. He’s actually a fine enough quarterback, it’s just that Southeast brought a lot of pressure, and it was tough on him. He’ll be fine.

Did Wichita South quarterback really complete only 5 of 30 passes last night? Maybe a misprint I thought, is why I ask. I never heard of anything like that. I was not there, but it appeared to be a decent night for South. So congrats to South team. And even if they lose all their games and just beat North and Campus in district games (which seems possible) they will get to go to state playoffs this year!

But if that 5 for 30 passing is correct, I would say South should consider giving another kid (even a lineman or something) a shot at QB next week.!

Question: If these high school games get moved, does the home team still get the gait? I know in Wellington, the switch to Andover Central gives us only three home games. That’s not much money going into the athletic budget.
