Kapaun at Southeast Soccer

It doesn’t get much better than this.
Kapaun at Southeast, today, 4:30 p.m.
Though Southeast won an earlier meeting of the two teams in the Titan Classic final 3-1, this game should be a little different. That game was played after the horrible rainstorm hit the city. Thus, leaving the field in horrible condition. I think that hurt Kapaun more because its offense relies heavily on passing the ball accurately.
This game will be just as physical as these two teams just don’t like each other. Southeast is the bigger team, but Kapaun is very aggressive and they won’t back down.
For Kapaun (7-2) to be successful today Polo Guzman will have to get things going early. Guzman is very talented and the team feeds off of his energy. He scored the first goal of the game in the earlier match-up, but after that was taken out of the ball game by the Buffaloes.
Southeast (8-1) is coming off a 3-2 loss to Liberal on Saturday. Its recipe for success all season long has been aggressive offense mixed in with smart, sound defense. Taylor Knoll and Trent Remmich are two of the City League’s best goal scorers and if they get the ball in space are almost impossible to stop.

Wow, I don’t know about the Kapaun/Southeast game but what a great game in Derby tonight vs. Maize! Derby was down 1-0 at half and came back with guns blazing the second half to defeat Maize 2-1 on their own turf. Everybody needs to give Derby soccer props now, they are no longer playing weak teams as has been discussed in earlier blogs. Wichita Northwest, Newton, Maize, all great games! Way to go Panthers, congratulations on going 9-2!

Dont get to excited about Derby they have a verry tough match coming up thursday at Mac who is 8-1.Their only loss is to Maize at Maize and they were missing their best player.Derby better come ready to play or mac will beat them.

Of course you would say the bullpup fan I am a derby fan don’t get me wrong but maize beat you guys 5-0 one player wouldn’t have made all that difference. I kno that mac is a great team they beat us last year in a tough game but they should come ready to play its going to be a great game i give credit to mac they are a good team but expect a dog fight.

I agree Derbysoccerfan. I know I am also a Derby fan but I do expect a very tough match with McPherson Thursday. If Derby defense plays like they did against Maize throughout most of the game last night they will be tough to beat, even though they will be playing on McPherson’s turf.

Yes Maize beat us 5-0 but Salina Central beat maize by the same 2-1 score that Derby did yet we still beat Central 2-0 last week.we just were not ready for the Maize game.We are a completely different team without our main guy.It will be a tough game but my prediction is 2-1 bullpups.

I definately respect your opinion but maize has a very good offense but derby shut them down only allowing them to score a goal that should have been prevented but if we are throwing out predictions i expect the exact opposite 2-1 derby.

KOking you can say whatever you want - Derby beat McPherson AT McPherson tonight - 3-2!!!!!!! We can brag on Panther soccer all we want, especially after all the trash talking earlier in the season about playing weak teams, running up the scores, etc. They have played 6 games in the last 2 weeks and are still coming out on top - defeating Newton AT Newton, Maize at Derby and now McPherson AT McPherson. They are on a 9 game winning streak and hopefully with no end in sight - GO PANTHER SOCCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ya everyone should be giving props to rose hill they are having a very good year im a derby fan and people said give credit to other teams, so here it is Rose hill has beat a lot of good teams and even when they play lesser opposition they beat them like they should theyve tackled any challenge thrown at them.
Also congrats to east for beating a great SE team i didnt actually see the game but a when against such a talented squad is something to be proud of.
