Carroll glad to be done with Bryce Brown

OK, that might be a misleading title because I know some of you are looking for controversy. There’s no controversy here.
This is what Carroll coach Alan Schuckman said last night, and I can bet every other team East has played would say the same thing: “Brown’s a heck of a player…. I’m glad the next time I’ll see him, he will be on TV. We’re fortunate that we’re done with (East).”
East has to be one of the toughest teams to prepare for because you have to be aware of Brown on every single play, including kickoffs because he’s back there. He’s so quick, and once he gets 5 yards past the line of scrimmage, if you don’t have a hand on him, he’s gone.
I guess I really don’t understand the people dogging coach Brian Byers for going to the spread with Brown. Doesn’t anyone else remember last year when East gave the ball to Brown all the time and the Aces failed to make the playoffs? Sure, Brown had another record-setting year, but teams could give him his 200 yards and know East couldn’t move the ball otherwise. At least there’s the fear now that East can move the ball through the air. If that’s not the case, put 10 in the box and never worry.
And I’ve talked to Brown — the kid wants to win. He’s proved he’s the best. He wants to get to the playoffs.

Brown will not have anything against derby
We have the best defense
Jameson Moore will knock brown out just like he did counts and soft
Devin Hedgepeth will dominate the WR’s
our line will dominate their line and everyone else will do their job and brown will not have anything against the Gang Green D

Sorry, Derby but that’s wishful thinking. B. Brown is the real deal. Derby beats East but Brown gets his yards. He has the acceleration and cutting ability you have not and will not see from anyone else.

lou, I have not seen or heard of those hundreds of 10X better names from other states show up on Rivals or other similar websites. Even on ESPN 150 there are only two RBs at the moment ahead of Bryce. Where are these players? LushLou.com? LousRedneck150.com?

Class is appreciating the talent Wichita has and not pretending you know about hundreds of RBs (”one in every school 10X better”) in other states. Maybe we can’t find these kids online that you know are out there because your website (LousRedneck150.com) is not sponsoring them.

Lane - anyone who has read these blogs know that lou is the biggest idiot on here. He went too far on another topic and Joanna had to tell him to shut up. Let him enjoy the moment for Derby because this is it for them, their JV and freshmen teams are terrible. Next year they will be this years Goddard team 0 and whatever. Everyone knows and that includes guys like Pete Carroll, Urban Meyer and others just how good Bryce is and how good he will be. Next year when Bryce is playing Division 1 football lou will be out tipping cows or getting his GED.

Bryce Brown is a great player but there are great players in texas, oklahoma, and california etc….. There often overlooked becus of the TALENT around them, If u review the talent in wichita and compare it 2 the players in other states u would see that Bryce wouldnt b half effective against them. Yes he stands out like a sore thumb in wichita cus most of his talent is against SCRUBS, i mean seriously his brother is prolly gonna redshirt at Miami cus he doesnt kno the terms on the D-1 level. Im not takin ne thing away from bryce, but wichita is light years behind the football states that i mentioned. Seriously if u dnt see that then ur blind or u never been out n watched ne body else. Oh yea and im sure most of u people seen bryce fumbling like crazy last year right? But wichita doesnt record those stats or his stock would of dropped dramatically i mean he fumbled 5 times last yr against carol in the first half?

Scout.com has him ranked as the #1 RB prospect in the nation. Are they blind? Ignorant? Without starting the whole “Kansas is the worst football on the planet” discussion all over again, can we not just agree that B. Brown is a rare talent, regardless of where he’s from or who he plays against?

Fools abound i see,,, goodlife while Derby does lose some stars they return plenty and Coach Clark is building a program as i guess you will see in the next few years. If im not mistaken Derbys freshman team also beat Hutch so “terrible” i dont think so. JV im sure is pretty poor as the players with “talent” are at Varsity practice not playing JV.Not every program is concerned about winning jv games. Please have a clue before you waste everyones time on here.
Heisman i dont even know where to start with you. I am one of the loudest voices on the faults of Kansas high school football rules etc but there is plenty of “talent” in Kansas and Bryce is special no doubt. Lou-Yea it’s me again. YOU are the one who brings up all the talk about others first. You don’t just say your positive things about Derby, you dog others repeatedly. To say Brown is no good is just ignorant. He has scholarship offers from EVERY major school. He can pick any school that he wants. Who on Derby’s team can say that? Calling people classless and telling someone they must be classless cause they must be from East is showing what little class you do have. You told me on an earlier post that you are one of the most respectful teenagers I would ever meet. Why don’t you show people that respect on here? By the way, I am an East high graduate and my son curently starts for East so I have a right to be disgusted with your East comment. FYI-I am going to print off your comments and give them to my son to show his teammates and specifically Bryce for some bulletin board items. My nephew also plays for Derby and I plan to show him these comments and ask him if he knows who you are so then maybe he can get you to shutup and quit making outrageous statements!! The idiot comment was because you said there are Backs 10X better than Bryce Brown! ONLY an idiot would make such a statement. I also know that you haven’t even seen Bryce play this year since you are always at the Derby games, so how can you say he isn’t that good. He leads the city league in rushing with an avg of 190+ yards a game and 17 td’s. PLEASE get back on here Oct. 25-the day after Bryce runs for 250 yards against Derby (like he did against Carroll) and you have to eat crow about him not being as good as alot of others.

Heismann-Arthur can’t be redshirted-he has already played!!! Also Bryce has fumbled some but not against Carroll last year. East won that game-he fumbled against KMC. Why do you think Arthur doesn’t know the terms of D-1 football? Do you know him? Have you EVER talked to him. PROLLY not!!!! HAHA! People like you who I doubt have ever play any sport competitively are could for everyone else cause they say laughter is good for the soul and you are making us all laugh alot. Thanks for that!!

Lush-you are correct!! You might want to check with Coach Clark about bad mouthing Bryce and whether he would like you to do it. My guess is he wouldn’t like it. Also sorta selfish to bad mouth others when you won’t be on the field to back up what you say. As for classless-Bryce was frustrated with all the penalties and that is the way he vented. It was wrong and was the only time he did it all year. He normally justs tosses the ball to the ref. I think it is more classless to be on the internet calling people the p word and accusing folks of things that you have no idea are true.

the city league is a little over rated
the only good teams are carroll east and heights
and crack or whatever your name is
kaupan plays nobodys the every year
derby on the other hand plays state champions every year
and plus derby is just a better overall program than kaupan
since derby football has been around they have only had 3 or 4 losing seasons
and thats 61 yrs of football

Yea Lou, If Bluestem had played El Dorado, Ark City, Winfield, McPherson and Hutchinson (at that time) and Campus every year in the Ark Valley, they would have had winning seasons too. Derby had those winning seasons beating on people half to a third their size. Quit making everyone hate Derby fans and grow up.

east, If you play for East, you need to focus more on improving your defense than getting on here and talking smack. Even if you make it to the state final, you could see another pass happy team like Carroll. If your defense holds up in district games, then come back on here and talk it up.
