Drake won the game for NW against SE....if u have not noticed, they did win by 3 and drake put the feild goal in from a 32 yarder in the 2nd quarter against the blazing wind, and they northwest defense played great, but i must give some credit to the NW kicker.

Good point, if those recievers are working as hard as you say they are, then they should be ready if the run game is stopped.

i would like to see NW play soon. i always seem to be elsewhere on friday nights

Boss:

I understand where your coming from to but in the long run, in order to have success you HAVE to switch up the play calling. Its becoming pretty apparent to the CL teams that NW love to run. They cant run everytime. What happens if Dmac is shut down in a game. Is the passing game there? All an all I guess im just trying to say switch up the play calling and that as Big Kansas mentions it takes a TEAM to win. And the kids getting the ball 20-30 times a game get big heads and forget that the line, and recievers give them the blocks to run. If not for them good luck getting your yards.

Jack,

I know it's not all politics, but if the same person receiving the ball everytime and he'll fumble or get stop everytime, why would you still give that person the ball..At the NW and SE game, DMac fumble the ball, but he still gets the ball the next time around. Why didn't they give it to someone else? Another example, Randall was stop quite a bit at the game, but the next time he still gets the ball more than other players? Why not switch up the players and give everyone a chance? PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT......right?

Big Kansas

I dont think you're right in this case. Yes, there are politics in every team, but not all.

In some cases, that is just the way the team is run, no politics. Deiner at Central gave it to the same back a million times, not just because it was great backs, but he said at a clinic "that's who we trust not to turn the ball over. The more times he touches it, the less likely he is to cost us a game."

State Championships cant be wrong.

Let's get down to business. If I get the ball as much as DMac, Randall, Brown and etc. I could and would rush as many as yards as they can. People, you need to remember there are many talented players on every squad, and not just one person carries the team. That's why we call it TEAM! It's so much politics in the CL that it discourage students to try out for athletic sports. Am I right?

Office:

I understand what you're saying, but i really dont know what to say because i simply dont know the Offensive schemes for NW. I dont know how many times a game they pass. In some offenses the receivers play a more downfield blocking role. If thats the case then they deserve their props during film and at practice, but accept why they're needed on friday nights!
But i get where you're comin from. I was a receiver and never felt like i got the ball enough. It took me a while to realize that our running game was much more effective than our passing game so I accepted my role as a downfield blocker.

Boss what about any other offensive players at NW that bust their tail like the recievers! Iv watched their practice and 81 and 25 are ALWAYS doing something. They run at least 100 routes a practice! JLong dont they need their numbers!?
