Name the best game you’ve seen this season — any sport

We’ve almost finished every fall spot, so it seems to me to be a good time to come up with what game/event did you enjoy watching most this season?
For me, the Hutchinson at Rockhurst football game was wonderful. It was the first game of the season, it was between two high-caliber teams and it was a tight game. Does it get any better than that?
In volleyball, the Heights at Carroll match that pretty much decided the City League title, was spectacular. I mean, Heights trailed 24-19 in the second game. It was over. I mean, over. Yet Heights came back and won, then won the third game. Wow. What a night.
I enjoyed the Northwest-Carroll at Maize football game because it was the first time I’d seen Blake Bell and I was more than impressed.
I’m sure several of you will opine about some Derby games — rightfully so. The Panthers have made things exciting for its fan base this season.
In college fooball, I stayed up to watch the end of the Texas-Texas Tech game. Wow, that was truly riveting. I notoriously fall asleep while watching games, but this one I stayed up until the very end.
So how about you? Have you seen an amazing game? Maybe it was just a well-played game or maybe there was a player that rocked or maybe it was your team (Andover) finally beating its rival (Andover Central). Let’s hear about it.

The Mulvane-Rose Hill game was the best football game I’ve ever seen around here. Weren’t you at that game Joanna?

I thought the Heights vs Carroll game was a good one .It went down to the last drive and until Carroll fumbled the pass I thought they were coming back.

I am sure that RH-Mulvane was exciting for many reasons. Just reading about it was exciting. Victoria-Q Heights last Saturday was a good as it gets. Love that 8-man.

Even though I am sure NOONE else will mention this game, I truly enjoyed West’s win over North. The boys from West needed that to help get their confidence back! As that program moves forward it’s the little things that count. I was so proud for those kids that night! It might not have been the game with the most athleticism, or the biggest scoring spread, but it gave them a taste of winning. I am confident as they move forward, they will experience this more and more! Great job!

East vs Heights – Heights only score in the second half was a punt return. East dominated the second half, holding Heights to 50 some yards of offense, and overcome a 2 TD deficit, winning by 7 – Heights only blemish so far.

4th grade Cougars losing a hard fought game to the Oklahoma Sandites at the Boys and Girls Bowl Championship Nov 9th. Very hard hitting and exciting. Cougars(Andale Garden Plain) were undeafeted going in and very well coached.

I’ve got to go with Hutch-Rockhurst even though Hutch lost. Wow, I still have some of the hits the kids put on each other ringing in my ears. It was a tough game. And yeah, I won’t forget the Derby game either. It was a tough game to lose but close and hard fought. My blood pressure prefers the blowouts, but I love to watch the close back and forth games. Here is hoping some of the best games are still to come this season (albeit wins for Hutch).

im thinkin the northwest vs southeast soccer game in the titan classic when it came down to 37 seconds left in double ot before southeast put it away to win 1-0, when northwest was a huge underdawg, it was the best offense in the league vs the best defense in city, if not city, state.

The best game this year was the regional soccer game between Berean Academy and Andover. Even though Berean won 3-0, Andover fought hard to the end and they deserve a standing ovation from their fans.

The best game of the season was definitely the Wales and South Africa rugby match. The match went back and forth but South Africa prevailed by scoring at the end. The final score was South Africa 20- Wales 15. Congratulations South Africa!

i think the derby hutch game was amazing followed closely by the derby salina south one..both where great games
and the hutch rockhurst game was pretty good too from what i saw on the news
