Kansas.com KSN

That’s what Rivals.com says. Bell, a junior quarterback at Bishop Carroll, blew everyone away with his play last season. He’s ranked 25th in the country, but No. 1 at quarterback.

Not bad, huh?

I can see him easily getting to #1 overall by the final rankings next season. Can you believe that? Consecutive years Kansas has the #1 overall prospect in the nation.

Three classes in a row that one of the very best players in country is coming out of Wichita! That’s pretty damn big deal I’d say.

Is Bell the overall #1 player or the #1 QB? I am not knocking his accomplishments, just want to make sure I understand. Either way, Kansas has been cranking out some pretty accomplished athletes as of late and Blake is just the latest. Congrats to him.

Arguably Blake is the best in the country because Connor Wood from 2nd Baptist High School in Houston Texas is also right with him. That is great for Blake, Wichita, and Bishop Carroll, whether 1 or 2.

Im very happy for Blake Bell. Truly a class act and very deserving. He will show the country what a mature athlete from Wichita is all about. Can’t wait to read about him no matter where he goes.

I think Bell is gonna have the stage all to himself next year. Kansas did turn out some good ones this year though with Spencer, Musil, Bird, and Brown.

  11. Hovpen says:

Joe Randle has 11 offers, Justin McCay has over 20, Bell is not alone. Many others have or are expected to have shortly four or more offers. I expect four Kansas players to be included in this year’s top 250 at some point in time for the class of 2010.

Would Bell and Brown be classified as friends, and any chance both might go to Kansas State? Curious.

Blake, I’d love to see what Bill Snyder can do with you at K-State!!! Lynn Dickey, Steve Grogan Michael Bishop, Ell Roberson, Blake Bell!!!

  17. For Pete's Sake says:

Dickey and Grogan were way before Snyder’s time and I hope Bell has higher hopes for his future than Bishop or Roberson.

Were there some Bell brothers who came from WIchita and played College football in Colorado years ago? Is Blake any relation to those brothers?
