The latest on Bryce Brown

We’re less than 24 hours away from Bryce Brown making his selection. I just talked to Brown and he said that he still hasn’t decided between: Oregon, Miami, Kansas State, Tennessee, and LSU.

He will give his decision on Monday, 1 p.m. at the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame.

There’s no telling where Brown might end up. Could it be at Miami where he said he’d be all along? Could it be at Tennessee? Lane Kiffin is a fiery, competitive guy, much like Brown, and has a very talented staff full of NFL experience. Could local favorite K-State come out on top? Brown said he could decide right there at to podium. I imagine that it would be hard to see a lot of people wearing purple, there in support, and get turned down. Might it be Oregon, where offensive coordinator Chip Kelly just took over as head coach? Or could it be LSU who was right there at the end with Arthur, but the last of the group with Bryce?

    Chris Harper will be at the announcement on Monday. Don’t know what that tells us but the folks in Manhattan may have a really good day tomorrow!

    No chance of him coming here to Miami. He’d have to be part of the team and there’s a coach here that wouldn’t hesitate a moment to can him. Thankfully, we’re safe. I do feel badly for the team he chooses.

    He has a lot of work to do before he “tears” it up. I hope he does well, but he isn’t stepping in and winning the heisman trophy right away.

    I think he will end up at Tennessee. They have a former NFL off. coor. in Jim Cheney, RB coach Eddie Gran who was at Auburn with Cadillac Williams many other Auburn players who made it to the NFL. He came to Knoxville this Friday and paid his own fare to watch a scrimmage.

    If Harper is going to be there, it’s looks like he’s leaning toward Oregon. If Harper were transferring from Oregon he would have to sit out a season. Bryce would be tremendous in the Ducks elite offense!

    Really, does it matter to people anymore where this kid goes to college? Wow. I mean other than his family (friends) or the colleges who are on his list, who else could possibly care where he goes?

    I think his advisor miscalculated his importance and after reading some of the comments from the college fan websites with the schools he might sign with, he better come in contribute and do things right or he will be booed massively. Its not a badge of honor to be compared to Ryan Perriloux.

    Man, I’d love to see him play for the Huskers next year and do as good as DeAngelo did his freshman year. Hopefully, he wouldn’t get hurt though.

    The article does say it all. Hopefully, Bryce goes into his college of choice with his head on straight or that press conference may be the closest he gets to the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame. Outside of the drama and the Butler crap, I wish the kid luck, he is going to need it. Division 1 football isn’t the GWAL.

    Im tired of people hatin on bryce….this is the most important decision in his life. U can’t force him 2 just pick a school. Im glad that he was praying and fasting before he chose a school. 2 Many kids are scared 2 admit they are a christian. We prayed 4 bryce as a church wednesday night because he really needed it. They had an older brother that died at the age of 2 and my pastor told his parents that god was going to bless them with 2 more kids….who happen 2 be the biggest things 2 kum out of wichita since barry sanders….wichita is behind u bryce no matter where u go.

Crack your delusional if you think any three of those players will end up at K-State, they want to play for either a winner or go to the NFL, neither of which K-State affords them the opportunity.

    Finals started today at UO. One of the reasons Bellotti met with the team Friday to announce his move up was that it was the last day of classes and last opportunity for him to get them together before finals and spring break.

    pete: harper is going to end up at kstate at the end of this academic year.
    it’s kind of obvious in a way. him taking interviews saying all the stuff about how he’s rethinking it. and now that bill is back means so much more. i mean just look at what he did with bryce. he had a few months to recruit him and ended up just missing out on him. so i think he can pull in chris harper.

    Lou he can’t talk to Harper as long as the kid is under scholarship at Oregon. He would have to be released from his scholarship first, and even then Oregon can say he can’t sign with K-State. Don’t always believe what you hear, sometimes there is more than meets the ears.
