As I watched the catch it Kansas show this championship Saturday I listed to Bryan Holmgren (a Collegiate coach / sports anchor)talked about the MCAA dissolving and Collegiate not having a league to be apart of. The reason for their dissolving is like 8 to 10 years ago when it dissolved those teams didn’t want Collegiate in their league. Why you might ask, is they (Collegiate) has an unfair advantage in that they control who comes in(students), or what Collegiate fans/staff might say is control their numbers, some others might say recruit. They were 4A a couple of years ago couldn’t make it with them so they “lose some students” (60ish) and drop back down to 3A. Team of the MCAA don’t have the players that “move in” like Collegiate does. Teams of the MCAA have made KSHAA aware of the the things that occur at Collegiate are at an unfair advantage and sense KSHAA won’t handle it (scared of a lawsuit, because of Collegiate big money) or move private schools up a class or create a league for themselves, then the MCAA has to handle it in a different manor. Break up and regroup as another league.

I was just trying to understand the hoopla over Bryce Brown. I did ask more than just a couple of questions. The question over pressure and expectations was meant to only be one question. I appreciate those defending the post and really just wanted to know the background on Bryce. It looks like Crack is sending in one of the post for moderation. I find that ironic :]

if there are 7 questions there please enlighten me as to what the other 2 were besides these 5?????

Did Barry Sanders get this much press coming out of high school?
Does the East High football program and players deserve any credit for Bryce’s success?
Is there too much pressure for Bryce? Can he meet expectations?
Will Bryce be free of his current local representative after he signs?
Is Bryce going to college for a stepping stone, or will he stay there for four years?
