Carol Swenson retires
May 12, 2009 @ 10:13 a.m. by JoannaCarol Swenson has retired as the sports information director at McPherson College, where he was for nine years.
Swenson is one of my favorite people in sports, a man who has always been intent on providing statistics for anything. He’s the reason that Class 5A state basketball finally got stats for the media and coaches. He’s a key player in the state track meet, providing reams of info and stats.
I can’t imagine he will stray too far from high school sports. At least I hope not.

One of the classiest men you could ever meet. He does have a love for statistics that is unmatched. Prior to his time at McPherson College, was also the AD at MHS where he played a large part in bringing in Coaches Kinnamon and Schaefer (former girls coach). I’d say those hires turned out just fine.
