Its all good by me. I’m happy for Bryce’s name to be cleared but something tells me that the NCAA isn’t done with Butler yet. Just a hunch though. My experience with Butler didn’t just go away with one NCAA investigation either. I still wouldn’t want my son to go to someone who brings this kind of wrong kind of unnecessary attention from the NCAA. Go ahead and celebrate with B. Butler. Just don’t be upset that I won’t be attending your group hug…

I knew that all of you would justify your hatred of Butler. IF there had been any wrongdoing they would not have CLEARED Brown. For anyone to keep saying Butler did something wrong is just ignorant. As for bringing this on Bryce, go back and read what the tenn. AD said about how they investigate most high profile athletes all the time. It wasn’t cause he was with Butler or the others who went on the trip would have also been investigated. It was because he was one of the top players in the whole country!!!

Bryce had too many fumbles, sometimes on pitches from the quarterback that weren’t quite right, but that a really “good hands” back would have tucked in before breaking off the run. I don’t have the stats on his fumbles, but I don’t think that Tennessee would find the number acceptable at the college level. Don’t get me wrong, Bryce was and is a super talent, and I would have liked to see him become a more significant part of a better passing attack, which will be the case at Tennessee. I could see him being Heisman material a couple of years down the road.

around town as preying on kids too?

Carroll and Derby by far. They get lots of fans following both of them. Pretty cool system this year. We don’t have to supply anything. District has a contract with a new vendor and we actually get to be INSIDE the concession stands at Heights and South instead of in front of them. Everything will be stocked and cold when we get there. All we have to do is show up and sell stuff!!! New gas grills too. Should be really smooth!!! The other games are North, West and I think Kapaun. Kapaun should be ok too. Should make some pretty good money for the baseball kids!! We are going to have the KU Basketball Barnstorming tour again this year too. That thing is really cool!

Hutch, who lives in the biggest glass house in Kansas is throwing rocks.

Exactly how am I in the biggest glass house? Because we’ve won state the past few years? Dreiling has never done anything illegal. Have we had kids move in from the Buhler, Nickerson, or Haven districts? Sure we have, Cooprider, Kimmel, Cotton, but in the cases of those kids, they transferred in, and sat the 18 weeks required by KSHSAA. Cooprider moved to Hutch. In the case of Gage McKinnis, his dad got a job at Hutch CC, and he moved to Hutch. The majority of kids who play at Hutch, have attended Hutch from the beginning. As for those kids who moved in, they weren’t recruited by anything else, other than the fact that Hutch wins. Cooprider was at Haven, and was tired of going 1-8, or 0-9. Kimmel was at Buhler when Robben was there, and they were horrible. Cotton was the same with Haven. So they came to Hutch. Same thing happens in Wichita, and don’t tell me it doesn’t. They played by the rules, and sat the KSHSAA required time.

Plus, we don’t have any street agents directing kids to Hutch. Lest some of you forget how bad Hutch was in the 90′s before Dreiling arrived. He’s gotten the most out of those kids, and is weight program is second to none. Everyone gets caught up on the bench, but where the Hutch seperates it’s self is the clean. Best lift for football you can get.

Or are you talking about Dreilings cursing? You know, I don’t always agree with it, but like I told my son, life isn’t all about milk and cookies and not everyone is warm and fuzzy. Listen to what he is telling you, don’t listen to him curse. Everyone who has heard that audio clip, doesn’t even know what it is about. It was about a kid they took to Pitt State camp who told the charter bus driver to pick up the trash the kid left. He was very disrespectful, and Randy got after him. Could he have used a different way? Sure, but it’s his way, and that’s who he is. I have no problem with it.

Those other academies in my opinion do good for the kids. They are not any different than the dance or cheerleading academies around the area. Potential Players recruits and then spreads lies. What about this supposed Miami offer that was advertised by Butler to induce a certain KS school to offer? Was this legal and/or ethical? Have you seen these academies actively promoting their kids or set up websites for pay for an individual player? Have you seen them get investigated by the NCAA because of their so called “academic field trips”? If you are trying to compare PP to any other legal and ethical groups, then you are comparing apples to oranges. Butler has no educational background or certifications to represent these young men. He is a leech sucking the life blood from these very talented kids who needed no help or promotion from him to get them into the bigger schools.

I don’t have a personal hate for Butler. I don’t think I’m off base either, I’ve heard his pitch to our son, and I have no use for that. If he is truly interested in the kids, why did this program just magically pop up when the Brown Brothers became headliners? Where was it before?

Hutch.. I’m with you. Who is with Potential Players now? I don’t see anyone current. He speaks of past players but nothing current. Is this academic field trip going to be an annual thing now that he did that for the Brown brothers? Is he promoting his kids as hard as he was now that they are gone? Any pay per view websites going up for his kids now or has his tune changed now that they are gone?

putmein…. you say that none of the recent athletes that have gotten scholarships needed any help? i agree that both of the brown boys would have gone d-1 with or without butlers help. butler himself will tell you that.i do believe that some of the other kids would not be where they are now if they had not gotten specialized training.i am not saying that butler is the only guy in town that can do that for you. i do firmly believe that he has more college connections than anyone else,including all of the h.s. coaches. that helps alot when a kansas kid is competing with texas,florida,and other major states for a scholarship. there has been talent in kansas for a long time but they did not get the respect that they deserved. if a kid is on the borderline between being a d-1 or a d-2,juco type player then he is going to need some help getting exposure. the days of the h.s. coach making a tape and sending it to the schools being enough are over,unless you are a brown or sanders type kid which very few are.

Yes, you are missing something. The word CLEARED. If the highest profile athlete was cleared why would they still being investigating the others? Have you heard somewhere official others were being investigated? You’re just throwing things out there to see what sticks.

I do understand that Bryce Brown was cleared. At first I wasn’t, but when I saw it in all CAPS that helped.

There are D 1 D 2 and prob some juco guys as well in Brians program now as well as talented younger players and thats not going to change anytime soon. I have to laugh when i hear things like ” those guys wont take his calls anymore” “he doesnt have any d 1 guys now” ” thos players didnt need help” and on and on with the dribble of just stupid false statements. yall can think all these bad things about him all you want but the fact is hes helping more and more kids every day and the cupboard is very full. The most amazing part is hes doing this at the same time all the “haters” are out in full force which makes me really wonder how giant the program will get in the years to come when more and more people come to realize the truth and Brian and his program. Im sure come Feb when several Potential Players sign with quality schools and next year when more do im sure some will find something to complain about,which like i said is fine but maybe someday yall will get tired be wrong. logo44 thats 100% true but the number of parents that have the ability or knowledge to do that is limited. The 2 sides on this issue are never going to agree and for me personaly its getting very tired,so i cant imagine how the rest of the readers of this blog feel. 4 more practices before the lights come on so hopefully we can focus on all those players and coachs that have been working all summer or all year for these few special friday nights.

petes sake… jaydan bird led his high school team to a state title last year and he also lead the state in rushing.he has trained with butler for at least 2 years,and oh yea he is at O.U. now and is going to make the team as a true freshman. his mother is very outspoken and if she had a problem with butler we would hear about it. i do not think bird would be where he is now if he had not gotten specialized training and camp exposure,both of which butler assisted him with.

i respect anyones opinion that is based on actual facts and PERSONAL experience. that is not the case with petes sake. i know that there are people who have actually dealt with butler on a face to face level and did not care for him or his program and that is there decision. i just think it is wrong for a person to attack a man when they have never even met the person.all of my opinions of butler and his program are based on my own personal dealings with the man. i think petes sake should go to a training session of P.P. and sit down with butler,which brian will be happy to do and address all of his concerns. you put masonry or whatever your name is,well just to clear it up my name is jeff page and masonry is my business.so what is your name? i do give jaydan bird credit for making it to o.u. he put in alot of hard work before he ever stepped on campus. in my opinion the best advantage to working out with butler is that the athlete is surrounded with other atheltes with 1 goal in mind and that is to get a football scholarship.in high school that is never the case and everyone knows it. many of the h.s. players simply play to be on a team and because that is what there dad did and there is nothing wrong with that. the h.s. coaches do there best in most cases but dont have the time to spend on a handful of boys who want to get a scholarship,they do have 80 other kids on the team that need to be coached too.most of the h.s coaches dont get paid crap so i dont blame them for not taking even more time than they already do to spend on a few players that are vying for a scholarship. butler is not a football coach and he does not teach the boys to play football.they work on speed,agility,explosiveness,flexibility and many other conditioning techniques.i know this because i have witnessed many hours of his training sessions. you should do the same.

compare the number of kids getting scholarships in kansas now to the past. many kansas kids have gotten scholarships without butler and will continue to but most of them got some extra training somewhere. you almost have to because most all other athletes do. if you dont it will be hard to get on the field.there are other options than butler for specialized training and i am sure they do a fine job.its kind of like buying a new car..they are all pretty good it just depends what suits your individual needs the best. for my boys and many others that choice was P.P. for others it was not. i cant think of a single area college athlete that played only h.s. ball and did nothing else and had any success in college. i can think of many that did not prepare and got to college and washed out. the college game is much harder than h.s and i am not only speaking of d-1 but all levels of college ball. oh yea,how should butler go about looking you up since we dont know your name,or does it say for petes sake in the phone book?

Jayden is not at OU and he is not on the 2deep as a true freshman without Brians program PERIOD and he would be the 1st one to tell you that .Most every player that has went through his program for any length on time would tell you the same thing. Hate him or not his program is the real deal and i promise you he helps players of ALL levels get better its just that simple. There is a reason players coming out of the program are adjusting at the next level as quick as they are and you have to be blind or disshonest not to see that.The names will keep coming year after year so at some point this will be to clear to deny even for you Pete.

“overmatched ” hes a true freshman so ya id say thats very possible . I realize this doesnt always translate from one level to the next but he has played against top talent from around the country in big time tournaments at 12,13,14 which is another thing that helps i believe. I do know one thing he will be ready if called upon and the spotlight wont affect him.
