Small-class football (10-18)
Oct. 18, 2009 @ 8:02 a.m. by Joannaby joanna
Small-class football sure represented well in the area. Buhler-Andale, Garden Plain-Conway Springs.
How about the Pratt Skyline-St. John game — 78-76. Wow.
Caldwell is undefeated and is in line for a district title, South Haven is 3-0, too.
So what are you thoughts on the upcoming week?

I think Conway should roll through the rest of the regular season. GP should come back with a vengeance and put up some high numbers the next couple of weeks. Not sure about medicine lodge. Anybody care to share some info on med lodge?

medicine lodge has one good receiver, but both of garden plains corners are lock down cover guys. GP wins by 50

justathought,
Who has GP’s corners locked down? What top receivers other than in practiced have they faced?

I was wondering the same thing. According to the stats Douglass was 23 of 23 with 1 int. that doesn’t sound like much of a lock down. I don’t think they will get past Collegiate.

CS, where in the heck did you get that stat? According to the Wichita paper he was 11-20-1.

No doubt about kwch friday coverage was the most biased of any of the stations and i watched the highlights of all three. I say Caldwell whips South Haven and wins thier district. How long has it been since Caldwell has won district?

CS and GP wont be tested until playoffs.
GP has to beat ML and BP and to be honest i dont think those are gonna be worth the drive to watch.
CS has win one of the next 2 games.
it looks pretty clear that both teams will make it to playoffs. too bad one of you guys werent on the other side of the bracket so the state game would accually be a game.

that touch down in question, if u watch it close, the guy is down at the knees when he reaches for the line and i can not really tell if it broke the line or not. there were many missed and bad calls on both sides

Sometimes people (refs) make mistakes. Both teams did not play to their capabilities. The refs probably missed the Eck TD, they probably missed some other calls as well, but, we all know their will be a rematch in sub state. Props to GP for coming back, better props to our guys for not getting caught up in the moment. Way to go Brill, Doffing, tomlinson, and withrow.. can’t wait till the next game….

As for the South Haven and Caldwell, I believe that Caldwell is going to win that match up but it is hard to say, that will be a good game. Conway spring is doing great as always and they could go far, but I am looking forward to Garden Plain at collegiate though in the first round of the playoffs. That will be a big test for Collegiate but I actually do believe that they will win that match up.

Recruiting may win Collegiate some games in the MCAA and their weak district but their season will end in round one as always.
