VK Open discussion (10-29)

At bedtime last night, my son was singing “Billy Jean.” Only problem is, he only knows one verse and just sings it over and over again.

So I’m having a two topic discussion (although you’re always free to start your own) — the first is, what’s a song that always sticks in your head (my kids make up stuff and I can’t get rid of it). The second is, what’s the best song to hear at a game (Back in Black is always a favorite of mine).

    i’m sure there will be plenty of nay-sayers….but here are my thoughts on tonights game between South & NW.

    i’m aware that NW is playing red hot right now, but they’ve still gotta come out and do it one more time. the vibe i’m gettin from the experts is that this game is already over.

    Not true at all! It should be a good game tonight.

    My thoughts on the rushing record:
    Bryce Brown will still be the record holder when the day ends. 210 shouldnt happen to South’s potent defense.

    and for those of you who are familiar with me, i am typing this entire post with one hand, while the other knocks on wood!

    I know not many people are NBA fans but in Dallas they shut off all the lights and play Eminence Front by The Who during starting lineup introductions. It is so freaking cool.

    Crack, LaneTech over on the discussion boards was asking me the other day why players and fans get so enraged while playing and watching sports nowdays. My reply was CRACK! He replied back, that he didn’t know, you bottled up the stuff, and that you must have a monopoly on it in the Wichita area.

    Best music at a game has to be AC/DC Thunderstruck at the frozen pond. Back in the day when Bret Sapergia and the Thunder were champions. They’d put the puck in the net with one hand and be knuckling dudes grill with the other, those were good times and that music got the crowd rockin.

    Ok, I should get out of Wichita more.

    i think d-mac is just gonna be to much for south’s D. i’ll give it to south though they have turned that ship around and are playing great ball right now. but i just think robinson is just to good of a runner to stop. im gonna say he gets 211 lol

    My prediction is NW wins by 30 and dmac gets the record. As some people know I do root for south fb team, but this game is going to be a beating.

    Sorry Weston buddy! D-Mac doesn’t quite get the record yet. Sloppy conditions with the wet turf, slows him up, along with a little help from South, the D-Man gets 175. He’ll have to wait!

    i didnt get the chance to get to the game tonight but i’ve been listening to it on the radio. and it sounds like robinson got hurt on the first drive of the game and hasnt gone back in yet. hopefully its nothing serious

    I left after 3 qtrs. 35-12 northwest. Dmac was. Hurt yesterday I hear and tried to give it a go I think. What was final?

    Hey there Swim Momma, you missed the swim meet at the East vs Southeast soccer game today! Great meet in some shallow water. Needed to dig that pool just alittle deeper. No true diving competition though. I was alittle disappointed with that one, but a good meet all the same! You’ll have to check out the highlights that LaneTech filmed for Youtube over in the discussion boards, titled what went wrong with the SE/East game? Good to hear from you and tell Lou the game was at NW @ 7:00!

    yeah, i did predict a close one, i was wrong….i will swallow that pill…but my other half of my prediction was correct…(due to injury though).
    i hate to see D-mac play sparingly on such a big night for him, but big ups to the other runningbacks. they did whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. cant wait to see him put on purple, rather than that god forsaken blue & gold that i’ve grown to hate.

    “thatguy” It is refreshing to see someone come on here and say “I was wrong about that (whatever it is)! Its okay to make predictions or statements on here and not get them right. Hell thats half the fun of it. And lord knows I do it all the time. Alot of times though the person either makes excuses or just doesn’t respond again. Just thought it was cool.
