   Which one are you going to? Will you go to the best state game which in my opinion will be in Emporia? Or will you be stuck going to Hutch to watch Collegiate smash Marysville, or going to Washburn to watch Heights get beat? Just thought i would add a couple of predictions in there. I unfortunately will not be attended as I will be hunting in western Kansas. Have a great time!

   Yeah Collegiate is gonna roll this weekend it won’t even be close. . . Anyone remember that 2007 Garden Plain team? Collegiate would beat them by 2 touchdowns easily

   Was at the Hutch vs Bishop Carroll game in Hutch this past Fri. Great atmosphere and spectacle for a HS playoff game! Wonderful venue at Gowan, by the way. Congrat’s to the Salthawks on the win and that too to BC for providing an entertaining game from a fan stand-point. Congrat’s also to Wichita Height’s and those Boy’s for beating the odds and coming out on top! Would probably prefer to see Hutch vs GE, being that I went to school with coach Diener at Southwestern. Should be a great game there in Emporia with a heck of a QB in Starling for the Blazer’s and what else can you say about “Moose” Smith and Deveon, along with Heeney, and Grissom among others for Hutch!
   Hey J., the Class 6A and 5A Boy’s All-State Soccer selections are out. Saw it posted in the discussion boards. Jo, saw ya up in the press box at Gowan, but didn’t want to scare ya! Maybe I’ll see you guy’s on Sat. in Emporia. Good-luck to the Falcon’s and the Salthawk’s! I’ll be rooting for ya!

   The new format for the Blog is great, and it takes advertisers to keep it going, but the wine and liquor ad on VK is a little much. Not that a good glass of wine once in a while is bad, but on a Blog that tries to promote the young athletes, may need some re-thinking.

   “watch Collegiate smash Marysville” Don’t count your chickens before they hatch. Collegiate was lucky to get the W against Scott and Marysville will show up and make it a game.

   i dont know if you can call the win lucky against scott city. turnovers killed the spartans all night but the defense shut down scott city. scott city’s defense caused huge problems for the spartans but when it came time for the offense to make a drive to win they got it done. doesn’t sound like luck to me. But i do believe marysville will show up and make it a game.

   I think Collegiate will win, and not that we would ever know the outcome but that 07 Garden Plain team would have beaten this Collegiate team bad….just like they did everybody else. Nobody played GP close that year..at least Marion and Scott City hung around with Collegiate. I’m not trying to take away anything Collegiate has done this year. But that Garden Plain team had size, speed, depth and Logan Dold. The key being depth..something Collegiate does lack.

    Spartan Pride – If the ‘09 Spartans are 2 td’s better than ‘07 Owls, then you are saying the ‘09 Spartans are 11 td’s better than the 1 loss ‘07 Spartans??? ‘07 GP beat the ‘07 Spartans 63 – 0, with request from Messamore to have a running clock in the second half!! Focus on your current situation, don’t detract by making idiotic comparisons. What are you? 1 for 4 in getting past the first round in recent years?

    i love how some collegiate parents try to live there lives through there kids getting on the blog and trash talking. i love it. show some class when you win and lose for once and people wont hate wichita collegiate so damn much.
    you cannot compare the 2007 GP team to the 09 collegiate team. thats like comparing Micheal Jackson to Elvis Presley. you just cant do it.

    and they silver lake had a qb that was better than your blakey. gp’s defense forced him to go 8 for 22 for 71 yards, held them to 38 yards on 19 attempts, 5 sacks, 2 fumbles and a pick 6. while GP’s offense rushed for 416 and went 5 for7 passing with 112 yards. so S.I.E. every spartan fan

    if kc can beat the steelers then heights can beat olathe north. but i dont think its gonna happen lol. North is just way to talented. you havnt played anybody til you’ve played an Olathe school. they are just like hutch. big, fast and very good. sorry heights i would love for you guys to go up there and just dominate and bring one back for the metro but i just can’t see that happening. good luck to heights though.
