    WCS,
Tell us how you really feel!

Congrats to all that made the list :)

How it works is the coaches that show up and put their kids up get them on the team. If you do not show up your kids will not get on. Also if your coach does not put those kids up then they will not be on the team. You can tell which coaches were in attendance from who makes this list. For example in 3A not one Hutchinson Trinity player made the team….yet two players from Halstead made the team. Halstead did not even make it to the playoffs or have either one of there players listed on the first teams of any of the state teams put out by the papers. One of those kids was not even first team in their own league…..I would not get to worried about the names on this team.

  • What a joke

No Josh Smith on Top 11 or 5-A.

  • wow

    greatest video ever

  • Coach EM

Your coach also has to be a member of the kfbca, only member coaches can have a player on the team.

  • RikRok

    Where is Josh Smith?

  • RikRok

They should note that only seniors are eligible.

  • my op

How does Hutchinson land 2 people on offensive 1st team and Salina Central (really?) land 3? No Smith, no Evan Wilder, no Ross Lovett? And on Defense, 1 guy? How about a very dominant Geneo Grissom and Justin Goetz?

  • FTBALL

WCS we all can tell you are immature, you don’t think those other two receivers were just as good?….please stop posting you rich spoiled kid. And I maybe can see why hutch does not have that many players. They play as a team and its success really shows. But Smith should be up there.

  • RikRok

I’d say Allen and Wassenburg were deserving of their spots. Enriquez probably not.

Allen was a pretty good TE, probably led 5A in that position in receptions and was Central’s best blocker. Wassenburg made Wichita and Topeka’s all-state teams at receiver and was by far Central’s best offensive weapon.

Now, why a couple more Hutch guys are NOT on the team? That, I have no clue. No Smith? No defensive ends? No offensive linemen?

I wonder if there was a limit per school and Drieling spread the wealth to some guys who didn’t get the “typical” state recognition.

Much better for Defensive line in 4A.. Tyler Richards didn’t even get honorable mention for the Eagle most sacks in 4A I believe or one of the most

  • trackdad

I’m surprised Centralia didn’t have anybody on the 1-2A team. Several Colgan and Smith Center players made the team, and Centralia beat both of those teams in the playoffs to win state. They held Colt Rogers to 32 yards on 20 carries and helped force him into 3 fumbles. I would have thought Centralia would have had some defensive players mentioned.

  • RikRok

I’d guess Centralia didn’t play by the rules of the team. Unless everybody was an underclassman.

trackdad- that helps to show my point. This team may be the worst of the “All State” teams each year. Only Seniors can be on it. The Coach has to be a member of the Association and then make the trip to Wichita to show film and vote. If you look at the history of this team you will see many issues and players that make the team that raise questions.

  • RikRok

They could clear up a hugh part of the problem by simply including the word “senior” in the title.

  • WCS

No Coughenour! No Lemaster! The coaches are a bunch of stupid retards!

  • fbfanatic

Josh Smith, Geneo Grissom, and Justin Goetz not being on the top 11 is a joke. Then, to not have them on the top 5A 11 is beyond that.

  • what a joke

seems kinda wierd that in 3a the team that went undefeated and won the state title only gets 2 players on the team. but even more surprising is that the same teams defense only allowed an average of 10.7 points a game didnt get a single person on the 3a defense… wow whoever made this list should look for a new job

Have you ever thought of adding additional videos to your page to keep the readers more involved? I just read through the entire page and it was very nice but since I learn visually, I find videos to be more helpful. I dig what you guys are always up too. Keep up the excellent work. I will check out your website regularly for some new post.

It looks like every Osbourne, Pit Colgan, Ellis, and Smith Center player their coach voted for made it.

This selection is a joke. Why even publish this if only 4 coaches in the state submit stuff? In 2-1A there are a lot better players out there that were not on the list. Trent Rilie, Zach Nemocheck, The 6 Oakley Boys, Toby Peters, The massive kid from Meade………the list goes on.
