  6. HSSportsFan says:

Coach La’toya Randle was robbed of city league Coach of the Year. To have a team to have the turn around the way SE did alone should have given her the award. Don’t get me wrong NW had a good year, but it was expected. SE was 5-16 a year ago, and this year was 15-6. To me that deserves that award. Props to Coach Randle.

  7. ltsfandco says:

Congrats to all the girls that made it. Especially glad to see Rosales from North get recognized. HSSportsFan is spot on. Randle should have been hands down Coach of the Year. With the exception of a player or two, they aren’t as skilled as some teams with lesser records. But, she had a plan and a vision and made the most of what she had. Being a North Alum and long time North High and city league fan, I would have liked to have seen what she could have done with North if she had stayed. For those that don’t remember she coached there during the 2006-2007 season. Daniels, the current North coach just totally decimated this years team. In all my years of following City League ball and reffing many games, I don’t think I have ever seen a more inept display of coaching. She had a decent group of Seniors she just totally wasted. A couple of them she did not even nominate for all-city that are being actively recruited to play at the next level. I don’t understand why North has had such a hard time getting a decent coach for the lady redskins.
