All-Metro boys and girls basketball

The All-Metro boys and girls basketball teams, chosen by The Wichita Eagle, were released today.
Please remember that these are my choices, and it’s not the fault of the kids that they were chosen — or not chosen. Please do not rip them.
Congrats to all those chosen. You deserved it after your great seasons.

Glad to see the addition of a MVP this year and therefore adding a sixth player to the team. Great team, good to see so many outside of the city get recognized. Only one underclassmen, Ellis, so next year looks like a great opportunity for some kids to step up and receive this honor.

I am a little suprised with the kid from Burrton being considered in the metro area. Burrton is about 50 minutes away which seems a little far for metro area, although it is considered harvey county.

if it takes you 50 minutes to drive to burrton you either live east of Andover or you drive like my grandmother…..the msa is the msa..open your mind and the atlas……
