10:30 a.m. — The Topeka tournament is on, so I will be heading up there shortly. Remember, give all your updated tourney brackets, postponed games to sportsdesk@wichitaeagle.com.
Collegiate’s Ashia Woods, who did not play in the team’s 50-36 loss to Augusta on Tuesday, should be set to return to play in the El Dorado Tournament.

I will be chatting live with Chris today from 1-2 p.m. Make sure you stop by. We’ll be talking basketball, wrestling, swimming, bowling, midseason basketball tournaments, why we’re dreading the forecast and how much does Joanna really hate the Packers. What’s on your mind? Let’s chat about it.

It’s mainly a girls-only night of games and boys (and some girls) tournament games.
I watched Northwest girls beat Bishop Carroll for the first time since 1997.
Feel free to fill us in on whatever games you saw today.

This could be my favorite time of year. I love all the tournaments, and wish I had a magic wand or magic carpet or a jet so I could go see all the different tournaments.
Alas, I’ll be sticking in Topeka to watch that tournament, which will be attended by East and Northwest.
Which tournament will you be going to? Which are the best? It’s primarily boys tournaments this week, with girls getting the focus next week.

In case you missed Bob Lutz’s column on Perry Ellis and Conner Frankamp in Sunday’s Eagle, you can see them here. I’m amused by some of the comments at the bottom of the story, so check them out. Are there really that many people who can honestly say the City League is down in boys talent or is it the same person who I highlighted in this blog post?
Also, in case you missed my story on West girls coach Sandy Nixon, check it out. Do you think she’s got the toughest coachingjob in the area?
The KC Star’s Candace Buckner has a column on Basehor-Linwood twins, Ryan and Colin Murphy.
Congrats to Olathe South girls coach Steve Ingram on being named the national girls coach of the year. Truly a good man.
