Northwest football coach Weston Schartz will return to West High next season, The Eagle’s Jeffrey Lutz is reporting. Schartz coached at West from 1987 to 2001, leading the Pioneers to a Class 6A runner-up finish in 1997 and has been with the Grizzlies since 2002.

Schartz’s 154 career wins ranks him No. 2 on the City League’s all-time wins list behind Ed Kriwiel, who has 297 wins.

Ok…what’s the deal Wes buddy? Why West High?
How bout those Lady Maize Eagle ballers? Lungwitz tying it up to take it into OT and then Swenson taking over in the OT to get the win over Andover. Andover grows them big, but they fall harder that way.

This definitely calls for more reporting. It can’t be for salary, since these are fixed by contract in USD259. So why the return?
