Maize South senior-to-be Mariah Suchan has made an oral commitment to play basketball at Buffalo. Suchan averaged 16.8 points as a junior post player for the Mavericks.
Suchan visited Buffalo on Tuesday and made her commitment on Wednesday.
“I really, really like the coaching staff,” Suchan said. “They seem like a great group of ladies to be around and have them coach me. It’s such a great opportunity. To play in the MAC, that’s a great division.”
Suchan, who is 6-foot-1, will move out of the lane to be more of a shooter.
“It sounds like they want me to be a shooter and shoot the ball a lot,” she said. “I’ve been working on my shot for such a long time, and I hope that it pays off.”
